iMAD Program Update – Dec. 2017
As 2017 comes to a close, the iMAD Team would like to provide an update on the program.
During the first half of the 2017-2018 school year, we have completed the program at Sebring Middle School and Avon Park Middle School. At SMS we saw a total of 723 students and at APMS we saw 643 students. We look forward to completing the program at Hill-Gustat Middle School and Heartland Christian Academy, and finishing implementation at Lake Placid Middle School.
This year, we also held a 9th grade assembly at Sebring High School. This assembly served as a refresher and reminder to students to think about the actions they are taking and the consequences or repercussions that may occur. We hope to continue to see our students grow during their high school years.
Website & Social Media
Another big step for the iMAD Team this year was launching this website and the iMAD Girls Website. We appreciate the comments and emails we have received and wish to continue this dialogue with our community members. Our ‘News & Articles’ page and ‘Resource’ page provides important information regarding the program, national and local news and resources, and blog posts from our team members. Check out our calendar and Facebook page for program and community event updates.
You may have even seen us in the theaters at the Star Wars movie. Specifically, in our new PSA promoting our program- who we are and what we do.
As many of you have seen from our social media posts and pictures, our program continues to expand. We hired two new health educators to the team this school year- Anthony and Michelle. Anthony works with the in-school program and Michelle works with the in-school and after-school programs.
