Well, what can I say about me? Highlands County, Avon Park, in particular, has always been my home base, but from the age of five, I’ve had the opportunity to travel and live in different parts of the world. Most people, when they hear that, assume that I’m a military brat. I am actually not a military brat at all. My dad was in the entertainment business. My sisters and I traveled with him. I love the fact that I grew up immersed in different cultures. It gave me a different outlook on life and an open mind to growth and diversity. I have lived and visited over eight different countries. My favorite was Paris. When I wasn’t traveling I was going to school and being raised by my mother with my two sisters in Avon Park, Florida. For the last 10 years, I have been working with nonprofit organizations. I have fallen in love with community work and helping to promote positive change, especially among youth and young teens. As a mother of two, it fills my heart to know that there are people out there that care about influencing our future generations in the most positive way. This is not always an easy task. I’m very excited about this new chapter in my life where I get to work with HRHN and the iMAD program.
